The Company
C Dale Shipbrokers AS, was founded in 1998, by Christen Fredrik Dale.
Mr. Dale has worked as a shipbroker since 1977, when he joined Christen
Dale & CO AS, a company started by his father in the beginning of the 1960'ies.
With Christen Dale & Co AS, Mr. Dale was engaged with management and operation
of exclusive vessels (dry cargo and reefers), and he also worked with chartering,
on competitive basis.
Since 1993, until Mr. Dale left the company towards the end of 1998, the
main activity was Sale and Purchase of mainly dry cargo vessels.
The newly established company will concentrate on the following activities:
- Sale & Purchase of dry cargo vessels in the
size ranging from about 100 Tdw up to about 5000 Tdw
- Business management (Accounting)
- Participate as part owners in small coasters.
Since the start in 1998, the company has been/ will be part owners in
the following vessels: M/V "Alverstraum" - M/V "Steinfalk" and M/V "Finnøyfjord"
(The latter will be taken over beg April 2000).
- Chartering (on behalf of exclusive/ direct
owners)
The company at the moment employ 2 persons full time,
Mr Christen Fredrik Dale, managing director and responsible for Sale & Purchase
and Chartering.
And Mr Kjell Eidevik responsible for the Business management division. In
addition to the two above, Mr. Christen Olav Dale is employed part time
as trainee and IT responsible.
The company had during the first year of business a total sale of 12 vessels.
The vessels (all Norwegian) were ranging from 150 Tdw up to 4700 Tdw.
We may add, that we have a very good relationship with most of the Norwegian
owners, and at the moment we have available and in our files a total of
about 100 vessels which are all being offered for sale on an exclusive and/or
direct owner basis.
